V2 SLS CARBON DIY KIT
The SLS Carbon DIY Kit includes unique components produced using state-of-the-art SLS and MJF additive manufacturing technologies, out of the most advanced materials available in the industry. A full kit, containing special fasteners required to assemble a headphone, a pair of headphone drivers and appropriate high-quality ear pads, as well as acoustic treatment accessories.
Drivers and ear pads are provided with the kit.
V2 Parts (manufactured in the UK and Italy):
As can be seen, the kit contains quite a lot of stuff, giving the buyers a lot of freedom to play around with various tuning options. Everything contained in this kit is a result of hundreds of hours of designing, prototyping, testing and experimenting, and I wouldn't include anything in the kit if I felt that it didn't belong in it, likewise I wouldn't exclude anything from the kit if I felt that it was important. Everything you need to fine-tune a sound to your liking, regardless of the drivers, ear pads or cables used, is included in the kit.
All of the 3D printed components will be carefully inspected, fully assembled and then disassembled again before being shipped, making sure that everything fits together as intended, and that the eventual building process will be fuss-free for the buyer. Threaded inserts will be preinstalled, acoustic mesh cut and glued onto filter frames, the headband sliding mechanism assembled, and the decorative 3D printed pieces glued onto the main components, unless the buyer requests otherwise, since they're procedures that demand utmost accuracy and special adhesives, and are difficult to redo if messed up. All of the hardware provided is of the highest possible quality available, with the fasteners, washers and threaded inserts all made in Switzerland and produced out of the highest grades of materials available at their dimensional specifications, meaning they won't wear out and will endure multiple disassembly and assembly cycles. Quality and attention to detail are extremely important to me, therefore I want the contents of this kit to fully illustrate that.
The only tools required to assemble the kit are a screwdriver with small Phillips, Torx T6 and T8 bits, scissors or a scalpel, and a soldering iron.
Drivers and ear pads are provided with the kit.
